About Coach Natanya
I was diagnosed with migraine when I was 5 years old. When I was in my mid- 20's, my work was very stressful, and I had constant migraine pain. The pattern was 3 day attack, 1 day off, 3 day attack. It was horrendous.
I began to search for medical help. I went to a family doctor, who referred me to a gastroenterologist, who within 2 minutes told me I had depression (I didn't). I left that appointment with a feeling of despair. How can I get help? Who will believe me? I didn't have depression, but I certainly felt pretty down after that appointment!
I remember standing at a bus stop outside her office at a total loss.
What I would give, to assist that young Natanya - I wish there were someone like me there to help her! I wish I knew then, what I know now.
This is why I work with people with migraine. I'm here to help you to identify management tools and techniques to reduce the impact of migraine attacks so that you can live a more fulfilled life. Live with less dysfunction, less disruption, so you feel more in control. Together, we work on the lifestyle aspects that your neurologist/GP may not have time or the knowledge to guide you through.
