Clinician Referral Form
Supporting patients with migraine and headache disorders requires both clinical expertise and consistent lifestyle, behavioural, and emotional support. Many patients struggle with stress, sleep disruption, pacing, routine-building, and navigating the day-to-day impact of migraine - all of which can significantly affect their quality of life and treatment adherence. Migraine and mind-body coaching provides an evidence-informed, complementary service that works alongside your medical care to help patients build migraine self-management skills, reduce stress, and stay engaged in their treatment plans.
As an ICF-certified coach and mindfulness facilitator, I work collaboratively with healthcare providers to support patients in developing practical migraine self-management strategies, including stress regulation, pacing, and resilience building. Coaching sessions focus on identifying triggers/trigger stacking, creating sustainable routines, improving sleep hygiene, practicing pacing strategies, and cultivating a more compassionate, empowered relationship with their symptoms. This type of support can enhance patient engagement, reduce overwhelm, and help individuals feel more confident in following your clinical recommendations.
Patients referred to coaching often report increased self-awareness, improved coping skills, reduced stress, and a stronger sense of agency over their health. For many, this support fills the gap between medical appointments providing a structured space for patients to integrate what they're learning in treatment and apply migraine self-management strategies consistently in their everyday lives. Coaching does not involve medical advice or treatment decisions, and always works alongside a patient's existing healthcare team.
Referring a patient is simple. Clinicians can use the referral form below, or patients can contact me directly for a complimentary introductory call. I welcome collaboration with GPs, neurologists, nurse practitioners, physiotherapists, and interdisciplinary teams, and I tailor coaching to meet the needs of each individual you refer.
Together, we can support your patients in building resilience, reducing stress-related barriers, and developing practical self-management strategies that compliment their treatment plans. This type of coaching support can form a valuable part of a multidisciplinary approach to migraine care, helping patients feel more supported in managing migraine and headache disorders.
